And that doesn't even include the $5 million contract Brisker got from the , which was also a ma sive discount. While the Bears did add Devin White and Coby Bryant, two solid players who replace a few of those departing veterans, it doesn't change that other teams signed the former Bears players and got those additions labeled as steals. The trade return for Moore, a second-rounder, is a great one and is the closest thing that could be considered a steal for the Bears. Brisker and Byard aren't that expensive for the upside that they bring, either. While the Bears will still be in good shape for 2026 and a top playoff contender, it doesn't change how their lo ses turned into steals for other teams around the NFL.
